The Urban Kings showcase happens once per month in Los Angeles, and once every quarter in New York and Atlanta. Every December, King Ryan Events produces what many people have called the biggest celebration of independent Hip Hop artists in Los Angeles. The name of our annual culmination is called the "the Best of the Best". This music showcase and award show is the culmination of a series of monthly events that King Ryan Events produces to find out which Hip Hop artist is truely the "Best of the Best".

Judges of this showcase are looking for that special "star quality" from rap artists that perform live on stage in front of an audience. Using criteria such as stage presence, originality, lyrical ability, audience participation, and star power, the music industry judges that come to the Urban Kings Hip Hop showcases are usually overwhelmed with the talent presented at the showcases. A wide variety of celebrity guest judges, record label officials, and music industry tastemakers have joined in to judge the Urban Kings showcase. Urban Kings has enjoyed the services of judges from Universal Music Group/Interscope Records, Def Jam Recordings, Atlantic Records, Warner Bros Records, Sony Music Entertainment, Jive Records, Violator, Dipset West Records, and Roc Nation.
